Katherine P. Klein, D.M.D., M.S. is a Board-Certified Specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. For more than a decade, Dr. Klein served as the Director of Orthodontics at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and as an Assistant Professor at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Klein is a highly-trained expert in braces and Invisalign for children and adults. She has been honored as the “Best of Boston” Orthodontist for as long as the award has existed! Dr. Klein is a leader in her field and lectures nationally to peers about her expertise in craniofacial anomalies and surgical orthodontics (jaw surgery).

Dr. Klein's office has been a great find. Their all female staff, supportive environment, and warm office space instills such confidence not only in the patient, but the family. My 12 yo daughter has been attending care at this office over the last year. At times my daughter has attended appointments after school by herself. The front desk staff phones me to let me know she arrived safely. Dr. Klein rings me later in the day if there is anything to discuss, or inquires about our daughters well being if there was a big adjustment to her mouth. The medical care is top notch, but the compassion is why we return.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Klein and the entire team at Katie Klein Orthodontics. I went to her after learning that I needed double jaw surgery, which required surgical orthodontics. After having the surgery 7 months ago and getting my braces last week, I can say without a doubt that I would absolutely recommend her to anyone else going through the process. She was honest and upfront every step of the way about what I needed, what she recommended, the timeline, the pricing, and everything else in between. She communicated well with all the numerous parties involved; my insurance, my dentist, and several different surgeons. Getting double jaw surgery was one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through and having Dr. Klein in my support team was the best decision. She was kind and empathetic, invested in getting me the best results, and the biggest cheerleader through some of the toughest moments. I love my results and can’t thank her enough!

Can't say enough good things about Dr. Klein, she is simply the best! As a child I had extensive maxiofacial surgery and as an adult needing lower braces for a few wonky teeth I did extensive research to find someone with the experience needed. Dr. Klein took the time to understand my situation and confidently came up with a plan. The entire process was flawless. She is kind, great "bedside manner" and clearly has the skills. I travel an hour to her office and I wouldn't have it any other way. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Klein!

We were referred to Dr. Klein by another orthodontist because our son's severe underbite presented a more complex case than he felt he could handle. To be referred by another orthodontist for your skill and experience says a lot and it was the first clue that we were in great hands. From the first meeting, it was clear that Dr. Klein is incredibly knowledgeable and she outlined our son's treatment plan in a way that put us all at ease. He needed jaw surgery in addition to braces to correct his bite, and she worked with his surgeon to coordinate each step of the process. He'll be getting his braces off in a few weeks and I am so pleased with the outcome. He has a beautiful smile and a perfect bite and we are so thankful to Dr. Klein. She is the perfect combination of skill, experience and professionalism wrapped up in an approachable and friendly personality and I highly recommend her!

Dr Klein is an exceptional orthodontist. She took over my daughter’s care several years ago after some less positive experiences. She took her orthodontics to completion and we were so happy that I decided to do Invisalign. Dr Klein’s office always runs on time. Her assistants are professional. Dr Klein is personable and knowledgeable. It has always been a pleasure to interact with her. She did a fantastic job with my treatment despite some of my anatomical challenges. Katie Klein is the absolute best orthodontist out there! She has put braces on all 3 of my children and is a perfectionist in the very best sense of the word. My two daughters were each in braces for less than 2 years (ahead of schedule in both cases!) and their smiles are just lovely. Having already had braces as a kid, experiencing tmj pain for years, and bouncing from one oral pain specialist to another, I was extremely frustrated and nervous when it was recommend that along with jaw surgery, I have braces (again) as part of my newest treatment plan. Dr. Klein is a world class orthodontist. From the first consult, through full metal braces and two jaw surgeries, to retainer "tune ups" Dr. Klein exhibited extraordinary skill, knowledge, and compassion. As someone with very high standards, I deeply appreciated her commitment to the best possible outcome. Dr. Klein earned my trust by thoroughly discussing treatment plans, carefully listening to my concerns, and supporting me through a long process. One can have great insurance coverage and go to a stellar hospital, but the clinician who literally holds our head in their hands plays the most important role. Look nowhere else in Boston if you need an orthodontist. Dr. Klein is super knowledgeable, very skilled, extremely patient, and has perfect bedside manners. She and her team made themselves available to answer questions and make adjustments on very short notices. There were very invested in achieving the best result which you will for sure see the day the braces come off.

I recently brought my daughter to see Dr. Klein in consultation. While many parents think their child is special, my daughter presents as a very complex patient. We already know that jaw surgery will be necessary in addition to braces in order to align her teeth. Add to that a genetic condition that leaves the teeth weak and unreceptive to adhesive. Dr. Klein was not deterred. It was obvious from the start that she had done her homework. My daughter and I were presented with more than one well thought out scenarios with options that took into consideration the many challenges of her case. Most importantly, my daughter and I were listened to at every opportunity. Dr. Klein's empathy, patience and kindness are as highly developed as her exceptional technical skills. After more consults than I can count, we have stopped searching for the ideal orthodontist, as we have found one.

This is the place you need to go if you have difficult orthodontic procedures. Our daughter needed maxilofacial surgery and complementary orthodonture. Dr Klein works hand-in-hand with the surgeons at MGH next door to develop a plan of treatment both before and after surgery. This is perhaps the best place in the country for orthodonture and maxilofacial surgery. They handle the problems that others cannot. Our first orthodontist near where we lived sent us here as he couldn't handle it. It is worth the trouble to travel here to get the best treatment. In addition Dr Klein is a wonderful person who explains the course of care accurately and compassionately. We are so happy we took our daughter here and the final result was amazing!

Dr. Klein is a shining star in orthodontics. I was lucky enough to have her by my side throughout a very long process leading up to a serious jaw surgery as well as for all of the follow-up afterward. She is the most knowledgable (though her experience and credentials can really speak for themselves) and personable doctor that's ever taken care of me. She truly made me feel as comfortable and well-prepared as possible considering the total jaw realignment surgery I was going to be undertaking. She is meticulous in her work and, thanks to Invisalign, my smile has never looked better. I literally flew into Boston after moving away specifically so that I could continue to be under her care. I simply cannot emphasize enough how grateful I am to both her and her team in taking care of me during such a stressful time. Bottom line: this surgery changed my life, and there's no one else I would have rather worked with.

Dr. Klein is brilliant! Working with her for at least a decade and witnessing her amazing work at MGH I could not think of any other orthodontist I would want to take care of my twin daughters.

If I could give her 10 stars, I would. From start to finish, her work is truly exceptional. When I began treatment, her consultation was thoughtful, honest, and transparent with regards to expectations, outcomes, and pricing. I had had a failed and traumatic orthodontic experience in the past, and thus was very nervous at first, but she immediately put me at ease. She explained procedures clearly in words that non-clinicians (like myself) can understand, and answered all of my questions with respect and professionalism. She absolutely delivered on the expectations she set forth when we first met. From my own experience and observed interactions with other patients, it is clear that she is empathetic to the needs of each patient and is a great listener. Her knowledge of the field, practice, and published research is vast and deep, and she uses the latest technologies to deliver the best treatment tailored to each patient.
